Peskov: Russian capital outflow unrelated to Rosneft–Sistema case

MOSCOW, Jul 3 (PRIME) – Russia’s foreign capital outflow is unrelated to litigations between oil major Rosneft and multi-industry holding Sistema, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.

Media reported earlier that foreign investors withdrew more than U.S. $1.6 billion from Russian shares over the four last months due to stagnant relations between Russia and the U.S., and the Rosneft–Sistema conflict.

Peskov said, “Concerning the mentioned court proceedings, they are taking place in the court area and are unrelated to the investment climate in the country …These are in many aspects market trend factors, processes are replaced with other processes depending on when some investment becomes most attractive for investors.”
